Healthy Home Solution Services replaces your filter and cleans your air ducts using products from Carrier to help keep the air in your home safe and sanitary.
Improve the Air Quality Throughout Your Home
It’s a good idea to have your air ducts cleaned to reduce allergens and irritants in your home and ensure an overall cleaner environment.
To give your air ducts the best possible cleaning, we use a Rotobrush machine to clean them. Before we begin, we remove the floor registers to access the air ducts. Then we run the Rotobrush’s hose through the ductwork and use its brush, which rotates and vacuums at the same time, to loosen and suck up any dust or dirt stuck inside your ductwork.
Ensure Your Furnace Operates Efficiently
Just like it’s important to keep your air ducts clean, it’s also a good idea to replace the filter in your furnace to ensure your system runs as cleanly and efficiently as possible. We recommend having it changed every 6 to 12 months, with no cleaning or maintenance necessary.
Many homeowners have furnaces with 1” filters. We replace them with 4” media filters because they last longer and provide better air quality. To make room for the larger filters, we remove the sheet metal and then install the filter box. The 4” filters are rated based on a minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) rating. Our goal is to achieve a rating of at least 13 - the higher the number, the better.
The MERV rating measures how effectively a filter stops dust and other particles from passing through the filter and into the air. There are three levels of particles: big, medium, and small. Of the three types, most filters (commonly called “rock catchers”) catch the big ones. However, they have a low MERV rating and do not catch small and medium particles. By having a 4” filter installed, you can rest assured particles of all sizes will be caught, and your indoor air quality will remain excellent.
